Spring Wildflowers 2010 Grapevine Lupines-Sea of Purple

Went out scouting the valley in search of wildflowers in bloom. I was pleasantly rewarded with beautiful color at many of the usual places that the flowers bloom. My 1st stop was the bottom of the Grapevine on I-5. The purple Lupine were a sea of color all the way to the mountains. I can imagine what it must look like coming down the mountain & viewing the scene. Breath-taking is one word I would use to describe it.

Then we went east to Arvin hwy 223. Another beautiful display of color.
