Perseid Meteor Shower 2010

So this past week was the Perseid Meteor Shower. It was quite the spectacular showing, if you got out of the city lights! I was fortunate enough to do just that!

I decided to try my luck at capturing some of the event with my digital camera. I experimented with the interval timer on my camera. I set it up, then looked to the heavens & watched the sky. At one point I counted 1-2 meteors per minute. But of course the camera was never pointing in the way of the meteors!
Except for the one image below that captured a small meteor in the left middle of the image.
