Flock of Egrets

This is a flock of 2 different birds. The white ones are egrets. The black ones I don't know. They kind of clicked when they flew away in clusters. It was a great noise! It was a magical sighting in a local hay field not far from my house. I spoke to one of the workers & he told me that when they irrigate the field, the birds eat the crickets that come out of the cracks in the ground. That must be why they are lined up on the waters edge as it moves through the field. I found that if I was at the end of the field that the water is moving towards the birds got closer & closer to me, but of course I had to be still. If I wanted them to fly I would flap my arms & they gracefully flew away.

I liked the mating dance that occurred. All in all, it was a magical time watching these amazing birds.

As for me, I am doing really well with the radiation. I will be half way done tomorrow! Yippee! Taking it easy, resting & sleeping a lot! Getting ready for Thanksgiving next week! I am so thankful that I am not as sick as others are!!! What are you thankful for?

Another thing that I am thankful for: I can go out & capture images like these! Enjoy!!!
