Star Trails at Lake Ming & Oakhurst

It's been a while since I have blogged. Guess I could say, life happily goes on! Life is great! I have gained my strength back & working my OR Nursing job during the day & trying to get out there in the night to shoot the stars! Which means I usually can only get out there on the weekends!
Shooting the stars means that you have to either go to bed really early in the evening & wake up in the night to go out to shoot stars or stay up & be sleep deprived. I am having a blast learning to capture star trails! It is a beautiful thing watching the stars & you never know when a meteor will shoot across the sky. Hopefully, I will be catching one of those in my frame someday!!! I was sitting/laying in my reclining chair on the edge of Lake Ming just east of Bakersfield, Ca. So calm & peaceful! No one was there except my dog, Sophie & I! Well, there were a lot of bullfrogs making noise too!
Here is an example of one of the images I have made!

This image is shot facing North, which is how I got the star trails in a circle. Shot at 30sec, F8, ISO 1000, 100 image. Then I made this composite in Photoshop. Hope you enjoy!

Here are others I have taken recently too:

These were taken at my Cousins house in Oakhurst, Ca.
