On June 25, 2012 I got that dreaded call from my Dr telling me there was something suspicious on my routine mammogram. Yes, I went last year! It was normal. So to make a very long story short I will just fill you in of the highlights of my journey to this day.
6-28: Needle Biopsy confirmed, pre-cancerous lesion.
8-29: Lumpectomy with Lymph Node Biopsy confirmed NO cancer yet. But because it is almost cancer, precautionary Radiation is standard treatment for my diagnosis.
10-24 Radiation begins. (5 days per week for 6 weeks)
I have 24 more Radiation treatments left.
That brings me to today, Sunday! I am going to write out my journey to help myself get thru this time of my life! I am a strong person. But this is huge. I know that what I am facing is insignificant to the other things others are experiencing, I don't mean to make light of their circumstances or trials. I just need a place to vent. So here I go again & try to start blogging.
One thing that has been getting me through this time is being able to go out & shoot beautiful things! Now that fall is here, it is so much easier to go out without being really hot from the high temperatures.
Yesterday, I went into the western Sierra's to catch a glimpse of the fall colors. It was beautiful!!!
